Nov. 24: Terror Reigns Over Mosul's Christians BAGHDAD—Today, Dr. John Eibner, Executive Director of Christian Solidarity International – USA, urged U.S. President-elect Barack Obama and the Iraqi Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki to prevent the extinction of Iraq’s persecuted Christian community and other powerless minorities, such as the Yezidis, Shabaks and Mandeans.
WASHINGTON—U.S. government officials and international human rights leaders will convene in Washington on Friday for the Congressional Caucus on Religious Minorities in the Middle East.

MOSUL, Iraq—A Chaldean Catholic archbishop was kidnapped in eastern Mosul Friday, Feb. 29. This is the latest in a string of attacks on Iraq’s dwindling Christian community.
